Background and History

Cyclotherm SA, established in 1970, is the only company outside of the United States to have been licenced to build Cyclotherm boilers and burners according to stringent technical specifications.

In the early 1940’s Dr Otto Saha, a Finnish-born engineer, was commissioned by the United States Government to design a boiler for marine use that was both highly efficient and extremely compact. He successfully addressed this challenge with a unique design that fully integrates both the boiler and the burner as a single unit.

World renowned for their efficiency and reliability, Cyclotherm boiler installations have been commissioned across a broad range of industries in South America, North America, Europe and Africa. Just over 4,500 Cyclotherm boilers have been sold in South Africa alone with the first of these installed in the country in 1960.

Cyclotherm boiler installations range from large plants in major corporations, government departments, public utilities and municipalities, to basic boilers in independent manufacturers.

Cyclotherm SA is a registered exporter and is certified to carry the Cyclotherm trademark.
